Look at our new trees now! And beams! And trims!

It is getting harder and harder to find time to add posts to this site, but I am determined. By the time I find a moment (like now) it is bedtime and I'm too tired to think! So everything is moving right along! Our new maple trees have beautiful leaves! Terry and I are so proud of them! Terry has been watering them regularly and it has paid off! Last few pictures are vegetable garden, which is also moving right along! Our house just keeps looking more and more beautiful on the inside. After looking at hundreds of pictures, getting second opinions, and losing some sleep, I finally decided to go with the dark stain for the beams, and I'm glad I did! It really is more beautiful in person than in the pictures. The floor will also be a chocolate brown. I know it will be beautiful. The trims will be a little darker than the walls, but not as dark as the beams and floor. They worked on trims all last week, as well as the week before. Not quite finished with it, though.  But Terry and I become more and more excited as things progress! Right now, all the finishing touches to the walls and wood (trims and stain) are what's happenin'! I think cabinetry in kitchen, baths, laundry, and other places will be next. Then floors, tiles, lights. The end is in view -- whoop whoop!

Terry had this sandbox built for grandchildren! The seats fold over and cover it!

Ava is thinking about taking her shoes off and wading. Bella is encouraging her. This was a chilly day! See what happens 2 pictures below!
By the way, this is the creek below our house and into the woods!
Too cold! Ha ha ha ha!!

Kitchen, dining, breakfast room floor -- Yes, I know hardwood is the trend even for these rooms; but that's not what I want!

This is the hardwood floor I want to use for all other rooms (except bedrooms, which will be berber carpet)
