Pitter Patter on the WINDOW Panes!!!

Pitter patter goes the rain--splashing on the window panes at my beautiful future home! Hurricane Joaquin is swirling in the Atlantic and has brought days (and days) of pouring rain; but we have windows now--the kind with glass! Whoop whoop! And we didn't let the rain keep us away today! Well, Terry would have let it keep us away if I hadn't poked out my lower lip! So with old shoes, raincoats, and a huge umbrella, we made the muddy, wet trek to our future home. I was thrilled! I LOVED walking around our future home listening to the rain, smelling the wood, feeling the cool breeze, and, well, just taking it all in! I get happy and excited every time we go out there! I always tell Terry I have no regrets, and he always replies, "Well, that's good, because it's too late now."

Terry and I went out to Yoder's Builders' Supply in Fair Play Monday and chose doors, door hardware, fireplaces, fireplace stone (tentative still), and we looked at materials for cabinets and counter tops. A couple weeks ago we chose all sinks, tubs, toilets, and faucets. All this is pretty overwhelming (if I sound like I'm complaining, I'm not!) -- I kinda get to where I just play eeny meeny miny moe--that one! Honestly, it's kinda fun and makes me feel so spoiled, even a little bratty. Oh dear, I hope no one is actually reading this. But yes, 4 - 5 months into this building adventure and I am still having fun, more fun than ever!!

So I am about to post loads of pictures, more than usual. I have some from the past couple weeks I want to add. Then today I took a pic of every single room and closet in the house. I want to post those--not that I think anyone wants to look at all those boards, floors, and windows--they start to all look the same---but I am posting them for myself and Terry, for posterity, and for the same reason people climb mountains...So when you get bored of the boards, just press the exit button! Here goes...
