Pipes 'N Power!

If I don't sit down while I have10 minutes and throw a post up here, I fear this wonderful blog scrapbook will melt into oblivion! It's been well over a month now since last post, but not much has changed for any folks who like to look at pictures. However, much, much, much has changed if you look at the whole picture: front yard has been totally dug up and septic tank is in; pipes are just everywhere, all over the house (in the framework) and all neatly and expertly tucked away; electrical is in, wires and cords everywhere, 100 outlets and switches everywhere, power boxes; kitchen is designed, cabinet wood chosen, most cabinetry in house is designed; appliances chosen, purchased and patiently await delivery; siding sanded; stain is chosen; front door and sunroom door installed; decisions made about lights and light placement. And finally, more mud has been made and baked on the beautiful home site! I will post pics below from last 2-3 trips.

I really love all the geniuses working on our house. I know I've mentioned our phenomenal, genius contractor, Brian Ramey, and how much we like him. Well, he knows where to find the best engineers and specialists! Lawrence is the best foreman ever--he is SOOOO knowledgeable about everything and such a perfectionist! We had breakfast with Sammy the grating engineer after consulting with him about our future driveway--he is wonderful as well and so much fun to talk to! Ron is the genius plumber AND electrician and when I say genius, I am SOOO serious! He has zillions of years of experience behind him and he absolutely knows what he is doing and how to advise. He just knows everything about plumbing AND electricity and trust me, we asked him a hundred questions. EVERYTHING I want, he says, "We can do that!" I feel like Alladin and Ron is the genie who can make it all happen---whether it's 10 outlets in a closet, 40 lights in the kitchen, strange placement of valves and faucets, or an indoor swimming pool (not really the latter -- just seeing if you were paying attention)! I also met and talked with the lead guy who will be staining the walls, ceiling, and beams. He was sanding ceiling boards getting ready to start putting them up soon (can't wait). I cannot remember his name, but he was so knowledgeable and interesting to talk to! Ashton was with me, and they got into a conversation about health foods (organic stuff) I never heard of!

Next are the HVAC ducts, insulation, ceiling and walls...I must be patient. I must be patient. I must be patient...
