I'm no expert (far from it!) on log ceilings, but I do know that no log home is complete without plenty of beautiful exposed beams. And ours will be no exception--yay! We NOW (in the past week) have lots of beams overhead! Although most of the beams we have right now will
not be exposed, I think
some of them
will be in plain view. The majority of our exposed beams ("some called decorative beams") are still to come, though. I'm about ready to do a walk-through with our wonderful builder, because I have questions...just some things I am curious about...but I'm not so curious to go out there in the heat of the day yet! So right now my questions are directed at Hubby, who knows much more about all this than I, which isn't saying much, lol. So his impatient replies to my questions usually range from, "Did you really just ask that?" to "I have no idea. You'll have to ask Brian." Yet I do have to give him credit. Sometimes he explains things very well. But not in my native language. So I just stare at him kind of goofy-like with my mouth half open, nodding. But I'm pretty good at clicking a camera, so here are the latest pics:
